E-Filing Information
All litigants, counsels, parties and other courts are allowed to file their cases to the official Court of Appeals email address in compliance with the Guidelines on submission of electronic copies of pleadings and other court submissions filed before the Court of Appeals pursuant to A.M. No. 10-3-7-SC and A.M. No. 11-9-4 SC. Cases filed personally, via registered mail, or through accredited courier should be filed electronically within 24 hours to comply with the guidelines.

- Mandatory e-mail format:
- Subject should include the case number or lower court case number and the case title.
- The party must choose one primary mode of filing (i.e. personal filing, electronic filing, via accredited courier, or via registered mail).
- Attachments being filed should indicate the type of pleading and the case number.

The attachments (i.e. pleadings, annexes, appendices, exhibits) must be in Portable Document Format (PDF). Each must be contained in separate PDF files and must be attached directly to the e-mail. External links to cloud storage, file-sharing sites, or other similar means is not allowed. It must also not be contained in archive files and should not require additional extraction or conversion to PDF; otherwise, the pleading will be deemed not filed.
The electronic submissions are deemed not filed when:
- The electronic copies are not in PDF format;
- The PDF files have password protection or any encryption;
- The PDF file is sent with embedded executable code or scripts;
- The PDF file is sent in archive files such as ZIP (.zip) or RAR (.rar); and
- The PDF file is corrupted.
Scanned pleadings could be compressed to the lowest quality to fit the file limit.
If attachments are more than 25mb, the litigant/s or counsel can submit their pleadings/ motions in batches within the same e-mail thread.

Pleadings that have annexes, exhibits or any supporting documents that can’t fit into one e-mail can be filed in batches by replying to the same e-mail thread.
