At long last, the much-awaited “CA-ONE STOP SHOP PROCESSING CENTER” was
finally opened to the public last September 15, 2008. And, as envisioned, the Center has already
provided the public with a simple, convenient and speedy means of transacting business with the
Court of Appeals in just a few days of operation.
While the Center caters to the public, it also addresses security concerns as it
prevents unnecessary and unrestricted loitering of parties and litigants in the Court. Gone were the
days when transacting business with the Court’s Information and Statistical Data Division, the Cash
Division, the Reporter’s Division, the Receiving Section, and the Civil, Special and Criminal Cases
Sections of the Judicial Records Division (JRD) would require entry to the Court of Appeals’ premises.
In the midst of unfavorable public perception, the Center is truly a big step towards a
more efficient Court of Appeals.
